Well, with the exception that I'd hate to see a Java based solution, I'm pretty easy to please. Heck, I'd switch to Gnome for a session to run a Kayako client on my Linux box.

Hey,

I'm on Linux about 3/4 of the time I'm on a computer. A winapp client would be awesome, or even a terminal program that will alert us when new tickets come on. Or you can always code a Java or some other GUI program that will work with Linux.

From,
Adam

Hi everyone,

As always, your suggestions are welcomed.

At the moment I do not believe there are any plans in place that will get Linux users able to use the LiveResponse features - but the more demand there is for it, the more likely it will planned for.

Thank you Jamie, I appreciate your comments.
Please make this poll sticky or email it to all kayako members so everyone vote.
to be honest kayako forums is not active enough to make a difference.

Hi,

I thought the message about this was very different.

Is this changing every day @ Kayako ?

This would probably work better for us as we use OSX (as do a lot of people these days)

Something cross platform would obviously be better as it means the guys could just focus on developing one app rather than 6 though obviously

AJAX might be the answer .. Java might be the answer ... but running Windows just to run the LiveChat client really isn't the answer as far as we're concerned

Cheers

Regards,

Jon
