Alert pop-ups blocking IE scrollbar... Move left? - 14-07-2006, 10:36 PM

Hello,

The issue I am having is that the 'infinite display time' alert pop-up boxes are obscuring my use of the vertical scrollbar in internet explorer. Please see the attached screenshot.... (partially blurred to obscure any sensitive info)

We are running the InstaAlert 3.00.32 program on our WindowsXP machine (along with the LiveResponse winapp). I have configured the Alert Display Time to "0" for infinite display time. This is because I like to have a full list of all the tickets that have come in during a time that I was away from the PC... I like to see a stacked up list of 5 or 10 (or more!) alert pop-ups, so I can take care of one at a time.

Could you please add an option to specify the horizontal offset of the alert pop-up boxes, so I can enter 10 and have them be 10 pixels more to the left... (or allow a simple 'config.ini' file or other way to control advanced settings like this, such as HorizontalOffset=10 or -10)

I know I can still use my browser's scrollbars by using the up and down arrow keys, but if I could more granularly fine-tune the placement of the pop-up alerts, that'd be GREAT!

(I have registered on the bugs.kayako.net system, just awaiting on my account to be activated so I can submit this as a feature request).

Thanks so much!

Added to my notes for V4. In V4, you'll be able to specify where alerts originate on the screen.
