Encoding in InstaAlert - 04-02-2008, 10:03 AM

How to set InstaAlert to support different character encoding ? My eSupport runs under ISO-8859-2 and pop-up windows in InstaAlert has bad diacritics.

Care to post a few screenshots of this happening? I have heard of this happening before.

Hi Martin,

What version of eSupport are you running?

If it is prior to 3.11.02 CVS, please download the latest CVS build and upload the following files:

/includes/functions_xml.php
/includes/functions_winapp.php

And then see if the problem persists.

Now it is OK. I replaced only two files (functions_xml.php, functions_winapp.php). Is it OK for correct function of eSupport ?

Yes, replacing those two files will not cause any problems.

Hi Martin; yes this is correct - you can simply replace these files downloaded form the latest CVS build without breaking anything. If this does not solve your problem please post back.
