Error message when clicking the pop-up alert - 07-07-2006, 11:58 AM

When I click the pop-up alert that Instaalert displays, I get an error message: "InstaAlert enterounctered an error while trying ti start your default web browser application!"

What's causing this ?

IE version: 6.0.2900.2180
WinXP SP 2
Norwegian version

IE is set as default.

This problem only occurs on my PC at work. My user account there is restricted. But on my laptop I have admin rights, and there it works.

I've created a test application to see exactly what goes wrong when the default browser is being opened.

Please download http://ryan.kayako.org/temp/SpawnURLRegTest.exe to the InstaAlert directory and run it. Then tell me what the output is.

I still get the same error message with the latest ANSI/MBCS build that I downloaded from: http://hotfix.kayako.com/instaalert/...t-25-07-06.exe

Hm, that's really strange. I swear the changes I made should have fixed that. I'll look in to it later today.
