Hi EPCal, InstaAlert used the default browser for the operating system, which is whatever program is assigned to handle http/https etc. You can check what your default browser is under the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\http\shell\open\command registry key. -------------------------------------------------------------------

Go into the registry and see what is set as the default browser (key HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\http\shell\open\command) and post back. Icon Headquarters - Its Elixir - Web2Messenger |

Then your default browser is Internet Explorer, not FireFox. Icon Headquarters - Its Elixir - Web2Messenger |

Try telling FF to take over as the default browser again and see if it overwrites that value. -------------------------------------------------------------------

Or, you could manually edit the registry key to point to FF instead of IE. -------------------------------------------------------------------

I have been told that changing it to IE then back to FF can work too. Edit: Just noticed your new title Ryan, "Chief Operating Officer", lookin good! Icon Headquarters - Its Elixir - Web2Messenger |

Ah yes I see the problem now. The one it is looking for is the global system default when it should be looking for the user default. Hopefully Ryan will be back on later to comment. Icon Headquarters - Its Elixir - Web2Messenger |

Aha! I was unaware that they changed this behavior in Vista. I'll get on a fix asap. -------------------------------------------------------------------
