Hi Varun,

Even though the apps are there, you can not test them with full functionality unless you unlock them. To unlock them key is required and I'm wondering if theirs a different procedure to request the evaluation key. I checked the members area and I was not able to locate the evaluation key anywhere, do I have to request it separately ?

Glad to hear this. Are you also going to implement it being based on users by entering a serial number into the admin area of kayako rather than device ids? This would make things alot easier.

I wondered if you made any decision on the flatrate pricing? We have about 50 staff here, so there's no way we'd pay per-client.

I can't see anything on the website yet (although this discussion was obviously fairly recent).

I also feel the per user license should be the norm for the bundle packs as it is certainly logical now to have a 5, 25, and unlimited pack but tied to the user not machine. I see fair pricing at $50, $100, & $200 tops and even that seems a bit high but most people should be fine with 25 users. Smaller sites with 5 and only the larger companies need unlimited.

For example I need to use esupport from several different machines, just myself, yet I must purchase 3 different copies of Instalert and pay $60. That is preposterous.

You should have bundles that include the main software package and X copies of Instalert pro. Otherwise a 25 user license of Instalert Pro currently costs more than the software itself.

I still haven't gotten as far as being concerned with the addons and additional pricing. For me, I'm just watching the clock tick away what little time i have left on the support period in which I will get v3. I have little doubt that the slow updating of the final release will coincide rather neatly with the expiration of the, recently shortened, support period that came with my purchase.
I don't mind you getting a fair price for continuing development on Kayako and related products, as long as said development does continue at more than a snail's pace. Finish the core product first please, then move on to the paid add on development.

The last announcement I saw regarding v3 was in the beginning of this month. If you have really added developers/programmers that you claim the new licensing affords you, shouldn't the release pace have picked up by now?

Well Kayako have announced that unlimited licences of IA Pro will be $200 and unlimited licences of syncworks will be $300 which seams fair to me.

I would like it implemented in the way I have described in http://bugs.kayako.net/index.php?do=details&id=971 as it is alot easy for both the end user and Kayako as you have to remember, WE UPGRADE OUR COMPUTERS / GET NEW COMPUTERS ALOT THESE DAYS! LOL
