Adding emails from outlook to a ticket - 18-01-2008, 03:39 PM

Hi,

Will syncworks let me add an email from outlook to a ticket?

We have a problem with users being asked for certain info using the REPLY option of the ticket, but them replying by creating a new email in Outlook and sending it straight to the support person. This means we have to copy the email as a note, which isn't awful, but I'd prefer the support person to be able to highlight the email and then click a button to add it to a specified ticket.

Can syncworks help ?

Hi oliverm,

Unfortunately, SyncWorks is only for tasks, appointments and contacts. It will not directly allow you to sync e-mails into a ticket.

However, if you set up an email queue and some basic rules, you could easily forward said emails to your help desk, where they would automatically be created as tickets.
