Exclamation New Syncworks Build - 25-07-2006, 11:28 PM

Have 3.0.95 CVS as an aside....

Installing latest Syncworks build, get this error:

Output folder: \Lang
Can't Write: \Lang\Default.xml

If I ignore, it fails to write the next few files as well. Everything before this point was fine.

Make sure Outlook isn't running (check process explorer to make sure)

The only reason that those file(s) couldn't be written is that they're currently open by another program (another copy of Outlook).

Either that, or the directory has somehow been marked as read-only? I'd look into those items.

Well, running the install, it is dumping those files to my C drive!! and registering them there. That is not normal. It used to put them in proper folders.

There is no outlook open or anyone using that language file, as I simply did not have Syncworks installed. This was a new install.

We just went Vista, so I will try it here too.

You complain about kayko and "beta", and then you run vista?

Roger said it was working for him with Vista on Live Response, etc etc.

We tried it.

Vista works fine for me, unlike Suncworks. Don't lose sight that many others are having the same issues, platform independent.

and im one of them...i have been waiting for syncworks for 9 months now...on HOSTED. (their OWN PLATFORM!) my point is (in general) NOBODY has a working solution without breaking your budget and your users brains....Sharepoint: SUCKS. OUTLOOK: yeah right. Kayoko: you get 85-90% of what you need and it works 100% of the time--for me. im big into betas for myself, but heaven forbid i subject end users to it. as far as my end users go, supportsuite is 100% awesome and functional. I just keep the curtain drawn a bit...*sigh*.

Hi Peder,
Please wait for .98 stable, I bet that all your SyncWorks issues should be resolved with that.

Quite a lot of it has been heavily written giving full unicode support, extended configuration, fixed numerous bugs with protocol etc.

Regards,

Varun Shoor

Unhappy A strange story [It never worked] - 12-09-2006, 09:11 PM

So now we at version bla bla.

I bought Syncworks when it came out.
Never ever worked. Ok to be fair.
It worked a month with me colegue after installing an Englisch version of Office. I use Dutch. To bad for me.

Still Syncworks is not working. After the bug blowing up me Outlook when I started SW it is now the next message:
HttpSendRequest(): the server did respond an invalid answer.

Word er een beetje moe van. This is Dutch will not translate it.
Every new version I instal in hopen Yes ? but still no!

When dear people..... from Kayako.

Version Installed. - 13-09-2006, 09:00 AM

I installed every version by now.
The latest I tried was 3.095.3 [Unicode version]
The other one give XML errrors.
I thought UNICODE must be good for Dutch.
Maybe it's something with the names of the labels? Like adres = addresses of so ?
And by the way were running our own server. So if we have to change something let us know.

ehoffman, what version of Outlook do you have installed? If the path is not discovered properly it may be because you're using a non-supported version
