SyncWorks opinions? - 12-06-2007, 10:46 PM

Hi,

Was wondering if any SyncWorks users out there would share their opinions of the product.

I'm wondering if it fills the gap in the Teamwork functionality in esupport or not.

General impressions/comments/frustrations appreciated also.

Features I need asap:
1) Ticket search in the client portal!
2) Column display in client portal showing clients email address or name
3) Downloads by client
(i.e. - each client has their own download area and can't see/touch downloads for any other client.) This would be on top of a "public" download area.
4) Integrated KB image uploads
The ability for staff to upload images with a KB articles.

I installed it once but then uninstalled it. When it synched with Kayako it made all my contacts public if I remember correctly which is definately not a good thing.

There is an option to change that.

SyncWorks -> Options -> "Synchronization Tab".

There are various options, for example "Make Contacts Private", "Make Appointments Private"

Major frustration of SyncWorks: There is no way to make the synchronization window silent - it pops up every time a sync is in progress.

[edit] That being said, it's still an excellent feature I couldn't live without.

They synch window was another reason why I uninstalled it.

The main reason why I uninstalled it is for the contacts. Here is why with more of an explanation.

When creating tickets, I would like to use the email lookup (binocular icon) feature in order to select clients. However, with all my personal contacts in there it gets confusing and cluttered when you go to search for clients. Maybe I could organize this but what I noticed is that you have to make changes to each and every contact individually, you can't apply changes to multiple contacts (IE, move all clients to client group etc...).

Am I wrong?
