Just a point out to Mozilla opens the doors on Messaging subsidiary | The Register As you can see, Thunderbird will get the same features as Outlook integrated by default (calender / task management). Deffo think there should be a Thunderbird extension made now as I surely would use it even if just to sync my contacts between machines. Icon Headquarters - Its Elixir - Web2Messenger |

There isn't a wide enough market, and certainly won't be for a long time. Thunderbird has a very minor share in the e-mail client usage statistics (with only 5 million downloads alone, which doesn't affect usage either). Outlook is used by most people and has a 60% user share, and I imagine a far, far higher business market share. -------------------------------------------------------------------

Hopefully it will gain some market share once it gets the calender / task stuff added. Icon Headquarters - Its Elixir - Web2Messenger |
