And we're crashing again - 30-05-2006, 03:49 AM

Looks like calendar apts, etc are working okay. AT the completion of the sync, when it says decompressing on the server, Outlook 2003 on Windows XP SP2 that works with an Exchange Server CRASHES every time again.

Syncworks latest and 3.00.90 installed on server.

I just upgraded to .90 and mine still crashes outlook. I haven't ever gotten it to synchronize with my server though and I started at .32 I think. It's really frustrating because I bought it a few months ago and haven't been able to use SyncWorks at all.

I wish I would have read these various threads about SyncWorks, BEFORE I bought it. My support period has ran out, and I still have been unable to get it to work without crashing Outlook, every single time.

This is highly unethical of Kayako, to be selling a product that is known not to work. Not cool.

hurtdidit,

I'd be more than happy to offer you a refund for your purchase of SyncWorks. However, if you wait a few more days, a major update with tons of bug fixes is on the horizon.

Let me know,

Hi Ryan,

Thank you for the offer...unfortunately, I am past the six-month free upgrade period (as of three weeks ago). Would you be willing to extend my upgrade period through to this latest update? If so, I would be glad to wait--I would prefer that SyncWorks works!

Yes, I will extend your upgrade period. Please provide me information about your account such as your e-mail address so that I can arrange the changes.

Thanks for using Kayako,

Just a notification - everyone running SyncWorks who is comfortable running a CVS build should immediately update to 3.00.95 CVS from the members area (https://members.kayako.net)

This new build contains full localization support and a huge update and many bug fixes for SyncWorks.

Ryan,

I just installed SyncWorks and it gets about half way through the Sync process then crashes Outlook. I don't see Syncworks in my download area so I can't upgrade the latest build. We just purchased this 2 weeks ago. Please advise asap.

Thanks.

Gino

gguarnere,

Please find the latest hotfix build of SyncWorks at http://forums.kayako.com/showpost.ph...4&postcount=10

You should also be aware that many critical SyncWorks issues have been addressed in the CVS branch of the code. You are advised to either wait until the new code becomes STABLE, or download the 3.0.95 CVS package from the Members Area.

Regards,

no dice - 08-08-2006, 07:03 PM

i get the following message when synching:

Code:
Error: Failed to compress XML data for transmission to server
This error occurs using the unicode package from http://forums.kayako.com/showpost.ph...4&postcount=10

But then I installed the ANSI package and it "works," but it updates my address book, tasks, and calendar from Outlook > Server even though I only want it to update and sync my calendar.

Go figure. Any help?

Sorry for the confusion. The reason it behaves this way is that the SyncWorks build you are now running is a beta, and contains functionality (the extended configuration you spoke of) that is still not implemented in the server software as of today.

The extended configuration functionality will be available with the next stable release.

Again, apologies for any confusion.
