Hi There Is there any update on the issue of creating a new ticket from the KayakoMobile interface? It seems the current form thread is dated quite a while back. Kindest Regards Tom Newman |

Jamie said he was going to get Ryan to make sure it is included before 3.12.0 last I heard. Icon Headquarters - Its Elixir - Web2Messenger |

Hi Tom, It is due and will be available in the next 3.12.00 build. Keep an eye here for news relating to this functionality. @Craig - not is the backend we are working on - not the client. -------------------------------------------------------------------

There is no official ETA on the build, but as things are we hope to have it out in 2-3 months. It is likely the functionality will be available in a pre-release (CVS) build long before then, however. We'll post here when that is the case. -------------------------------------------------------------------

Please concider myself no longer a customer of Kayako. I have waited for this feature forever, and even purchased licenses when it was announced. We are currently implementing a different solution from a different vendor. I have enjoyed the past few years. Jeremy, Sorry to hear that a single function is important enough to your operation that you would find it necessary to switch to a different vendor. Please understand that we have lots of customers requesting lots of features, each of them thinking theirs is the most important and should be implemented now. The new ticket functionality is available in the CVS branch of the code as well as the latest unstable KayakoMobile builds, and should be fully functional. The reason it didn't make it to stable is that the Custom Fields implementation has still not been completed, due to other tasks having a higher priority. I apologize for any inconvenience or frustration waiting for this feature has caused you. I will happily refund your KayakoMobile license if you deem it necessary. Regards, -------------------------------------------------------------------

FYI, The release from yesterday (3.20.00 Unstable) contains the New Ticket functionality from KayakoMobile. This build is more or less the exact build that will be marked as stable later this week if no show-stoppers are discovered. Using that build of the server software, and the 3.1.3.7 build of KayakoMobile (Kayako Software Downloads) you will be able to use the New Ticket functionality. NOTE: Even though this build of the Kayako Mobile client appears to support custom fields, *it does not*. The custom fields implementation is still missing from the server software. You will be able to create new tickets, but custom fields will simply not be transferred. -------------------------------------------------------------------

Don't forget: you need to delete the file "Kayako Mobile.db" in the KayakoMobile directory when upgrading. -------------------------------------------------------------------
