[code]http://www.yourdomain.com:8080/helpdesk/[code] should work. If it isn't, try firing that into your browser on the phone / pda and see if it works to confirm it is in fact KM rather than a service provider issue. Icon Headquarters - Its Elixir - Web2Messenger |

Hi CCSNET, Ryan is away until next week. It sounds like a design issue which is preventing entering the port number this way, which will likely need resolving in a build. Either way, Ryan will get back to you as soon as he is back ![]() -------------------------------------------------------------------

Unfortunately, KayakoMobile does not currently support the host : port syntax in the server URL. I have added it to my notes to add in a future build, so keep your eye on the change log to see when it has been implemented. -------------------------------------------------------------------

FYI, here is the bug tracker entry: Kayako Bug Tracker - Viewing Issue #684 - KayakoMobile can't use custom ports other than 80 and 443. -------------------------------------------------------------------

so basically i have a product that i cant use. we cant use port 80 and 443 because we already have services on them. we cant use another IP because we don't own one. do we have any idea when this "updated" version will be available. | |

Basically every ISP on earth will sell you extra IPs, usually for around a dollar a month; some ISPs will give you IPv6 IPs for free. We're sorry that you've used the standard ports for communication on this server, but the manual and the sales page are pretty up front about this. You might be able to get around this with some deeply evil mod_rewrite magic and a subdomain. I'm not honestly sure. You can certainly get around it with a proxy. As far as when the request for alternate port support will come to pass, keep watch on the bug. We're closing 3.30.00 right now, so we're waiting until that's done before making new decisions about the future. Thanks for understanding. -------------------------------------------------------------------
