Missing features - 02-12-2006, 05:33 PM

I was shocked when I couldn't do the following:

- Select/copy or paste text! This is essential with a pocketPC.
- Ban & delete a ticket
- Make a ticket

Other features that need to be implemented:

- The quick inserts (Predefined Replies, Downloads, Knowledgebase), but let them sync seperate from the tickets.

Is there a roadmap? In my opinion, every feature that is available in supportsuite needs to be implemented step by step in Kayakomobile, otherwise I could also use Opera in stead.

My hope would be new ticket functionality very soon. When we are at a client and want to pop it in....or take a call to the cell and want to register the issue in a ticket....

Thanks Ryan!

Copy/paste text from the tickets is done by tap-holding on the ticket view area and choosing the appropriate option.

"Copy all contents", and if I just want to copy a detail(like a domain name) by selection?

Unfortunately, you'd have to filter it out in a text editor or similar program. It's a design limitation of KayakoMobile -- the view in which you see the text of a ticket post isn't an Edit box or other standard Windows control. It's a completely custom control and we didn't see the cost vs. benefit of implementing text selection on a per-word basis.

Regards,

Regards,
Well, I hope you see the benefit of it now...
another example: I wanted to copy the url from this topic (I received a ticket because there was a new reply)
another example: yesterday I wanted to copy the auth key of a .com domain name.
It's difficult to open word mobile each time I need to copy something..

Another issue with selecting stuff:
I can't select more than one ticket. Since I'm receiving a lot of spam or other nonsupport tickets this is also something you can't ignore..
And don't forget the SPAM & delete option I already mentioned.

Another issue:
When the email is html I get the HTML code in stead of text.
It's hard to read such code on a pda.
