It would be a help if you posted a description of your setup, hardware etc. Are you running the latest Windows updates (or SP1 RC)? Are you running the latest Windows Mobile Device Centre? Did your Windows Mobile device require any additional driver for USB support? Thanks, -------------------------------------------------------------------

OS: Windows Vista Ultimate 64 Bit Motherboard: Asus Crosshair Processor: AMD Athlon X2 FX-62 RAM: 4 x Crucial Blastix Tracer 1GB I have all latest updates for the OS but not SP1 RC. Phone is a T-Mobile MDA Vario II (aka HTC TyTN) running Windows Mobile 5. It required no additional drivers. I am running latest WMDC. Icon Headquarters - Its Elixir - Web2Messenger |

Thanks - While you were typing out, I believe I know what this is; Vista's compatibility wizard detects and installation procedure, but does not see any change in the installed programs registry, so assumes there may have been a problem. Vista's "wizard" is a pain for us developers, as it often unnecessarily scares the user! However, I do not know what differs between Steves, mine and your configuration for ours not to alert to this problem. I might actually have it disabled. I'll pass this onto Ryan, and hopefully look into a work around to trick Windows otherwise. Hopefully the only solution is not to add an installed program to the programs registry, as I hate it when my programs list is cluttered with my Mobile applications! -------------------------------------------------------------------

when you run the KayakoMobile exe file are you right clicking and and choosing to run it as a Administrator? Digital Mayhem, Inc. Vista's compatibility wizard runs regardless of the user mode. -------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes craig I know I am an Administrator too but with Vista even with Administrator account there are alot of programs where you have to choose to run as Administrator because by default it runs as a regular user.. I don't know why but does... I guess in a way its kind of like Linux where you may be a Administrator but certain programs you still have to login to ROOT to install. Then I also know of a few programs that wont run/install if you have "User Account Control" Turned off... So also do you have "User Account Control" turned On or Off? Digital Mayhem, Inc. UAC is on. Just a note, it did install fine, it just said that for some bizzare reason. I'll have a play with UAC off and using run as administrator later see if it makes any difference. Icon Headquarters - Its Elixir - Web2Messenger |

@Steve - I don't think there is any difference between the account Administrator and any other administrator account, unless you have defined finer privileges have been for either. -------------------------------------------------------------------
