Adding text to the subject line of the email templates - 18-06-2009, 04:56 PM

I would like to add some text to either the subject line or the email body indicating what type of email it is. Is it possible to edit the subject lines of the emails though the admin control panel? I tried to edit it and learned that the alerts don't work at all if there is a problem with one of those templates.

Can someone point me in the right direction to do this if it is possible?

Thanks!
Dana

You cannot modify the subject of the ticket. In doing so there is a good chance that you might break the email parser as well.

What about adding a line at the very top indicating what the alert's purpose is - ie, "ticket has a new note" or "ticket status has changed"

Is that possible?

You can add that by editing the email template under:
Admin CP > Templates > Manage Templates > Tickets > email_*
