cPanel and Kayako - 21-01-2008, 08:31 PM

Hi,

I am in the process of obtaining an owned license.

I would like to know if it is possible for users/clients to login into the support center with their cpanel login information so they wouldn’t have to sign up for both parts of the site. (support center, cpanel)

if it is possible how would i go about doing this? is there a step by step guide or a thread on it?

Thanks in advance,
Dan

There isn't currently a LoginShare for it but I am sure you could create one for it.

You would need to look where a user list is stored. I *think* it is databased somewhere but would be best to ask on the cPanel forums. After that, its just a case of getting a LoginShare to connect to it and authenticate the user.

is your supportsuite and clientexec installed on the same server if so try setting the host too: localhost if that doesn't work try 127.0.0.1 if those two don't work then you will need to enter the IP/Domain of the clientexec location.

ok yeah localhost...

now do i have to edit the config file for clientexec? i thought i read that somewhere...

and what table prefix do i use?

Thanks

Also what does emailing piping exactly do? i read that its the automatic pushing of an email by the server...

Why would i want to use that?

also which way of sending email is best? the sendmail or pop3?

Thanks again for all the help.

Take a look at Setting up a LoginShare

The prefix should be the prefix you used for ClientExec database.

You don't need to do anything with the header and footer templates to get this working.
