Creating a NEW ticket, and send to multiple recipients - 03-04-2008, 10:35 AM

After speaking with a Kayako rep on the live chat, it boiled down to 3 options:

1) Send the new email ticket, as normal, limited to 3 recipients based on to "User E-mail Address", "CC", and "BCC" options. This is not a good solution as I can only send to 3 addresses, and only 2 of those will see eachothers email address in the headers given the use of BCC

2) Create the ticket using "User E-mail Address", "CC" options, and then use the Mass Mail option to send the ticket contentsto the other parties. This is a cubmorsome and labour intensive option.

3) This is closest option. Create the ticket, and EDIT the ticket to add 3rd party recipients. However this option does not give a "recipients" popup screen.

Is there another method that I am missing? If not then I think a new Feature Request would be that the "3rd Party Recipients" option is copied into the "New Ticket" window at the time of creating a ticket, such that you could then have as many recipients as you like.

How about using commas?

CC: user1@abc.com, user2@abc.com, user2@abc.com ...

although this may seem obvious, there should be a note telling people to use commas to separate entries.

True, cos I usually use semi colons for this purpose not commas.

I agree, have added as a bug. Kayako Bug Tracker - Viewing Issue #554 - Creating a NEW ticket, and send to multiple recipients

Also I wonder why support was not able to guide GoneShootin when he was chatting live.

Such minor details should be added somewhere for the clients to refer. Not everyone visits the Kayako forums.
