Custom field computer names - 05-03-2009, 01:19 AM

I would like to store computer information for each contact. Contacts could have one or more computer. Is it possible to accomplish this one-to-many relationship (contact-to-computers) through custom groups and custom fields?

explaination - 05-03-2009, 11:43 AM

Hi Supportskins,

So each user who sends a support a ticket to me has a computer. Some users have more than one computer. I would like to be able to store users computer information (RAM, CPU, model, etc..) in Kayako. I would also like to be able to see a list of all computers that any one particular use has and have the ability to click the name of the computer and then bring up all the details of that particular computer.

Please let me know if this helps clear things up.

Thanks,

Is it possible to pull database from an external MySQL DB on the same server? This way I could create a link using custom fields, but use my own MySQL DB to pull the detail information?
