Custom Fields - Hide from users - 03-06-2008, 08:28 PM

I am currently setting up the SupportSuite software for our company, and have created custom fields for the ticketing system. Some of the custom fields are required by staff, the others by users. Is there a feature where I can hide the fields to be used by staff from users submitting a ticket?

Thanks!

when creating a custom field, you have the options to determining where this field belongs. You can place it in Staff Tickets, Staff & User Tickets, etc. Try placing the field only in Staff tickets.

did this help?

I am not sure why you want to use it that way but you can always use notes

I have kind of similar problem -- custom fields invisible to user but the staff...

I created custom fields; some for users, some for staff. When user creates a ticket those for the staff are not created in the ticket. And I could not find a way to make them visible (to staff) - or a button/link to make them visible. I want to see those fields there visible but empty when ticket created by the user so that when staff checks out the ticket they can fill in those fields.

Any suggestions?
