Disable notification of new tickets to selected Staff? - 12-08-2007, 07:17 PM

Is it possible to create a Staff/Admin user who has access to every department, but does not get notified when new tickets or replies come through?

I have one person who I want to give access to the Dashboard, but not be notified when tickets are created. He is like a "silent partner" and wants to check things from time to time, but not be alerted for every ticket.

Weird, I know. But possible? Or should I just set up the email to be a Gmail account or something like that, which he would never check? TIA.

Hi Jimmy,

An exclusion list like this is not possible out of the box, unless you have all staff create ticket individual private ticket alerts (except the staff who do not want to receive them).

To add to that, it has been suggested for V4 so hopefully it will get implemented. Things that have been suggested are tick boxes for staff, tick boxes for departments and the ability just to send one alert to an email address of your choice.

OK, thanks guys. I think for now I'll just set him up with a gmail account so all the notifications go there instead.
