Email customer when ticket is assigned - 25-04-2008, 06:14 PM

When a ticket is assigned to a staff member, is there a way I can get the ticket system to send out an email to the customer notifiying them who the ticket has been assigned to?

I know the customer can login to the site and check the status of their ticket, but it would be much easier if they didn't have to login and we could just send them and email when someone was assigned to their ticket.

Hi Manny,

This isn't possible; your staff would have to make use of predefined replies when making the ticket assignment in order to notify the customer.

What about on the site? When the customer logs into the site, is it possible to add an assigned to field? I thought it was already there but apparently it isn't.
