I might be being dumb here but is there a simple way to SMTP me as a staff member) an email when a new ticket has been submitted by a user?

Hi dmad,

You need to configure Ticket Alert rules. See staffcp -> Tickets -> Alerts, and the respective section in the user manual.

what triggers the Ticket alert emails to be sent? is it real-time / automatic when the ticket changes? or is it batched and uses cron?

I created a new alert and I've been changing tickets frequently, but I'm not receiving any alerts.

Is there a way to debug this feature?

Thanks!
-Brian
