Email templates

Hello,

Trying to setup my email templates for emails that go out to users. It seems rather complex to change them to meet my needs. Is there any doco that details what the default templates are and how to make changes to them?

So how do you work out how to modify them? Seems like a fault in Kayako's documentation?

Kayako does not provide documentation on how to modify the source code or templates. Nor do most other companies to be honest.

Bit disappointing I must say given the templates are easily changed via the interface without needing to get into pages via ftp to change source code etc.

We are currently editing our email template, so far it looks like this (see attached image). Basically you need to update the following templates from the Tickets category:

email_staffreply
email_autoresponder

You just need to paste the HTML CODE and relocate the Smarty variables.

Wow thats pretty good. Are you sending your company info out with every email?

Thanks for the good comments Mehul. The company info on the email template has the same purpose of an email signature but it has a much prettier and professional look.

Yup thats look nice! Just make sure you do not screw any of the if else tags in the templates and you should be good to go

Our email template is not yet finished and we are still testing it. As soon as our Design department finishes it I will share bit a you a sample code.

Thanks Andres. Maybe you can create a template that we can customize/modify to suit our needs sort of like the other mods you've provided.
