I think they have manually created that page inside Kayako by the looks of it.

It's a page using kayako's design (not a real module). But there is a module to display the link to the page. You can look in the dev forum, there is a guide on how to create a module, and an other one to make a page using kayako's design.

If someone could help out on the steps to make something like this it would be most helpful. I want to accomplish something like this too.

As i said...

Adding a new widget:
Creating a module: Hello World (Complete guide)
Follow part 17 to 19
change the link to mypage.php (or my page .html)
(and remove the permissions check)

then
in mypage.php
How to create a new .php page with the standard headers and footers
the code is in the third post after "Then in remotedesktop.php:"

you should add at the begining (because you're not inside swift atm):
PHP Code:
require_once("swift.php");

An additional page manager module would be a nice addition to Kayako in my opinion rather than messing about with code. Maybe something for a future version?

Agreed.

Not only a -additional page manager- but also a widget manager.

Yes, I'll third both of the above! The ability to add/permission (can view / can't view) widgets and manage them would be a phenominal feature!

Please consider adding it. (It seems to get asked for quite regularly in the forums, so the demand is definitely there!)

Features I need asap:
1) Ticket search in the client portal!
2) Column display in client portal showing clients email address or name
3) Downloads by client
(i.e. - each client has their own download area and can't see/touch downloads for any other client.) This would be on top of a "public" download area.
4) Integrated KB image uploads
The ability for staff to upload images with a KB articles.
Cheers!

Are you sure it is not possible to make a widget only viewable for ie. a specific department?
I don't know much about php but if someone can help with a small line to make a widget only viewable for a specific department - it would be awesome.
