How do I change the Company Name or signature in the autoresponder? - 10-05-2007, 06:22 PM

In Admin CP>Manage Templates>Tickets>Expand>email_autoresponder
How do I change the actual text that shows in the autoresponder?
I guess I need to edit {general_companyname] or $queuesignature?
But where can I edit this text and make my comany name appear?

The following code is at the end of the autoresponder email...

<{$settings[general_companyname]}><{if $queuesignature != ""}>
<{$queuesignature}><{/if}><{/if}>

Thx,

Clive Norris

Your company name is found in the admin CP under settings-->general.

If you want to change the other text, copy it from the autoresponder email and go to your admin CP-->languages-->search phrases. Paste what you copied and search. The phrase can then be edited from there.

You need to edit it under:
Admin CP > Templates > Manage Groups > default > Settings > Company Name

I tried editing it here and it never changed the company name in my autoresponder. The variable in the template is "<{$settings[general_companyname]}>" which as far as I know is under the settings-->general section.

The software uses the company name set for the template group. Try again, it should work.

I tried this numerous times...in fact I have a support ticket open for this because it wouldn't work.

Here is my setup:

Manage Templates-->Settings-->company name = SioraOne - Home User Support
Settings-->General-->Company Name = Siora Support Desk

email autoresponder:

Quote:
Sincerely,

Siora Support Desk
I tried everything, it just didn't work. Whenever I change the general setting company name the autoresponder worked.

Hmm, may be a bug. The software is "suppose" to use the company name from the Template groups. That is how it has worked till v3.02.10. I have not tried it on the latest stable build.

Thats what I'm saying. It would make sense. Its also supposed to either use your company name or your signature but for some reason if you have a signature for your mail queue it uses both and distorts the layout.

For emails, the software uses the General company name (I believe). I haven't known it work otherwise, because there is no way to tell what template group to use for incoming e-mails.
