how do i disable th IMAP function in kayako mail parser?

my kayako supportsuite is hosted on godaddy and they don't have IMAP. how do i disable or turn off the IMAP on my supportsuite?

this is the error i get everytime i run the t=parser:
Error: Your PHP was not compiled with IMAP support.
*nix users should recompile their PHP with the '--with-imap' flag; Windows users can simply uncomment the extension='php_imap.dll' line in their php.ini

Change your email parser accounts from POP3 to pipe. That should do it and if incase you have set a cron on your server, you might want to disable that as well.

I am not sure you can. They provide jailed SSH to their server. You will need root access to their server to set email piping.

It seems like you should be able to ask GoDaddy to turn that module on for that server. It's a fundamental module.

Yes it is a fundamental module. Suprisingly GoDaddy will not enable it for shared accounts. They do not provide root access to its impossible to set mail parser on their servers. Worst of all, they do not allow imports of MySQL dump using SSH and their phpMyAdmin does not allow dumps which are more than 2MB is size. Too rigid for a web host!

I would stay well away from GoDaddy for anything. Their hosting is very locked down and generally their policies on things annoy me (the 60 day transfer away rule on name change for one which I still say is against ICANN policy but that is another story).

To disable IMAP - change your email parser accounts from POP3/IMAP to pipe. That should do it and if incase you have set a cron on your server, you might want to disable that as well.
