How do I merge two tickets in support suite? - 20-12-2007, 02:10 PM

I see the option there: open ticket, options, merge ticket

but where/how can I select another ticket to merge with?

thank you,

While you are viewing a ticket, you can merge it by clicking on the "Edit" option. Clicking on it you shall see the "Merge Ticket" option which would allow you to merge it with another ticket.

I see all that...except any sort of option on which ticket to merge it with. What am I doing wrong?

Link Custom Field GroupLink With Custom Field Group
A ticket can be manually linked to a custom field group. Once linked, the custom fields can be edited under the Edit tab.-- Do Not Link -- Ticket RecipientsTicket recipients receive all the e-mail correspondence sent by staff users. The option to add ticket recipients is available when sending a CC, BCC, or forwarding a ticket. There are three types of recipient:

Third Party: A third party recipient added to a ticket is carbon copied all replies sent by a staff user. A third party is able to send e-mail replies and have them appended to the ticket that was not originally created by them.
CC Users: A CC user who has been added to a ticket is carbon copied all replies sent by a staff user.

BCC Users: A BCC user who has been added to a ticket is blind-carbon copied all replies sent by a staff user. Add New Recipient
You can add a new Recipient by selecting the Recipient Type and specifying the Recipient Email Address. The added recipient will receive the entire staff replies automatically, but will not have access to view the ticket online.Third Party RecipientCC UserBCC User
Merge TicketMerge With Ticket ID
Enter the ticket ID with which this ticket should be merged. Any replies received under this ticket will be merged chronologically. Ticket PropertiesSubject E-mail Full Name

It is under the Edit tab:

"Enter the ticket ID with which this ticket should be merged. Any replies received under this ticket will be merged chronologically."

Yup, it sure does. Just the other day a friend pointed out that they were adding staff images onto Computer hardware and software at amazing prices, available online from Scan Computers UK for Christmas and I said I wonder which one is the one I have had on the phone a few times (Kerry) and he then pointed out that they were all named underneath. Felt a tad stupid
