How to remove all Kayako references from Staff and Admin Login Footer - 19-10-2007, 07:33 PM

Hi, I have researched most of the forum in the past 2 hours and got a lot of answers except for these 2 questions:

1. How to remove Kayako copyright reference (Copyright © 2001-2007 Kayako Infotech Ltd.) from Staff Login and Staff Area footers.

2. How to do the same for Admin login and Admin Area footers.

Please note that I am not asking if it can be done (Yes, we do own the full license and aware that we are legallly allowed to make such changes by Kayako), nor am I looking for a generic answer that I have to edit the templates.

I am specifically looking on "how-to" step-by-step type information as my skills don't allow me to follow the actual php code and trace the
<{$copyright}> reference in cpfooter.tpl file, etc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Note you MUST of purchased the copyright removal service before you do this or you are in breach of the licence agreement.

1. Open /locate/en-us/en-us.php
2. Find "Copyright © 2001-%s Kayako Infotech Ltd." (line 47 in latest version) and simply delete between the quotes.

Craigbrass - you are amazing. Thank you for such quick and responsive help as I have tried it and it was EXACTLY what I was looking for. By the way, we did buy the Brand Free option. This forum has been the most helpful and productive tool which gives us, novice users, a lot of comfort. Thanks again.

I actually removed the copyright from the following files

/templates/admin_default/cpfooter.tpl
/templates/admin_default/staffcpfooter.tpl
/templates/admin_default/admincpfooter.tpl
/templates/admin_default/loginform.tpl

I know it has nothing to do with the copyright notice but I also removed the version and date from the Admin/Staff Loginform...

AGAIN: To remove the copyright notice you must purchase the "Branding Free" option otherwise you will be in violation of the Kayako License Agreement and your License can be Terminated.

Your welcome.

I think copyright removal should result in a new key being issued save you manually having to edit files and templates...

Well, I have found the cpfooter.tpl, but the other three you mention here are either gone or renamed in version 3.11?

Here's the list of templates under 'General', the 'footer' has been changed succesfully, but the copyright-notice still exists for Staff CP and Admin CP. Any idea where to look?

Hi Michel,

The templates for the admincp and staffcp are stored in files, in the ../templates/admin_default/ folder - they cannot be edited via your web interface.
