How to remove the powered by kayako ?

Do we allowed to remove the powered by kayako ? i mean to remplace my company name, like powared by company !!!

If so ... how can i change this ?

You can only if you have an owned licensed. If you are leased you cannot. You also have to have purchased the branding option.

To remove the copyright information from the footer you need to purchase the Branding Free License irrelevant to the license you have purchased -- leased or owned.

Actually Hiren, that is incorrect. To remove the footer copyright requires the Copyright Removal service to be purchased. Removing it from the title (like I think he wants to) is not. Varun clarified these points a while back.

To remove it from the title, do the following :-
1. Go into the admin control panel.
2. Click Templates.
3. Click Manage Templates.
4. Click General.
5. Click header.
6. Find the following and delete it :-

 - <{$poweredbytitle}>

7. If it is still showing, log into FTP and delete everything inside the /cache/ directory.

If you want to remove the footer copyright too, it costs $99.95 and is titled "Branding Free Option". You can purchase this service from http://members.kayako.net and you will receive instructions on how to remove the other copyright from the footer soon after purchase.

However, you can remove the page title text without this license.

Yeah, Graigbrass, i could remove it, but this is just for eSupport, i'm no seeing it now on the support desk.

I don't think removing them from the Admin / Staff areas is permitted at all. Jamie will be able to confirm this though.

He's not talking about the footers, Jamie. He's referring to the title bar in the back end, something now allowed to be edited without buying the branding free license, no?

Ok, for complete clarification. Without the branding free license you:

• Can remove the page titles.
• Can not remove any of the footers (text and links to Kayako).

The template files will have to be manually edited in order to remove the page titles from the admin and staff login pages.

If you have purchased the branding free license then yes you can remove it from the Staff and Admin CP as well.

What part of that was unclear, Craig? I've highlighted the bits that explain it. Without, no footer removals. With, everything visible can be removed.
