How to upload a large amount of articles. - 06-05-2008, 11:13 PM

I have a LARGE amount of articles that I would like to be transferred into the Knowledgebase, and I was wondering if there is an easier way of doing this than inserting articles one by one.

Do any of you have any tips/advice/software for me?? Any thing would help!
Thanks!

There is an Import / Export section (Staff CP -> Knowledge Base -> Import / Export).

Thanks craigbrass, but with the Import/Export function, how would I go about uploading more than one article at a time? Is this even possible?

Thanks!

As far as I am aware, you can upload in a CSV format.

You need to have it as XML file and the articles will be imported in the helpdesk.

The link does seem to be working for me. Is there something I can do to fix this? i also tried going to http://raghav.kayako.org, but that did work.

I was also wondering what users are using to code in XML. I hear that Microsoft Word can convert to XML but the quality is pretty poor.

Thanks again.

PSPad will do the job fine. PSPad - freeware unicode developer editor, capable handle near any syntax, e.g. HTML, PHP, XHTML, JavaScript, ASP, Perl, C and many other languages with HEX editor and multilanguage interface
