Increase number of options in custom fields?

Hey everoyne -

As you can probably tell by the increasing number of my posts here, I'm working on customizing my SupportSuite install for deployment. So I'll probably have quite a few questions in the near future.

I'm finding that I would like to have more options in my custom fields (dropdown boxes) than the Kayako interface supports (which I think is 8 or so). Has anyone worked around this, say by adding rows directly to the "swcustomfieldoptions" table in the database? I think that will work, but I'd sort of like to hear a success story before I FUBAR my install.

If you create a custom field and then go back into edit it, more fields appear.

It isn't obvious that this is the case tbh. A plus image at the bottom to add new rows would be handy and more clear.
