Exclamation No paragraphing on autoresponder or replies Outlook 2003 - 18-06-2008, 11:18 PM

Hi all,

We're having an issue with our auto-responder and replies for customers using Outlook 2003. There is no paragraphing on the output for people using Outlook 2003. Every other client is fine.

Just wondering what we can do to resolve the problem?

Outlook strips out extra line breaks. Have you tried disabling that feature?

Is this something that can be forced in SupportSuite? We never had this problem with RT. And I don't intend on telling over 12,000 customers to disable it in their settings.

Well I just troubleshooted the issue and it seems the issue is with Outlook mail rendering as I did not come across such an issue in Mozilla Thunderbird which seems to display emails just fine. There is no setting in Kayako to change this.

Kayako has never adequately addressed this problem, and there have been a number of posts on the issue so far, over the past year or so. Maybe it *is* Outlook's fault, and maybe it isn't. It seems to me that Outlook is used widely enough that an official statement regarding the problem--and perhaps the limitations of Kayako for ticket replies via Outlook--would be in order.
