Phrases in included pages ?

Is there a way to use Language Phrases in included external pages ?

I was checking this out, but was not able to parse one.

Anyone any idea ?

I thought so too, but need it to be between <?php ?> or not ?

Or just the <{$language(whatyouwant)}> ?
