Private Departments - 19-07-2007, 01:19 PM

Hi all,
I'm setting up the support system, I have 4 departments, 1 it's for the public and the other 3 will be restricted to the customers.
I have created a new template group, and I have assigned the 3 departments to this template.
The problem is that the registered customers cant see the departments.
What is missing?

I don't think this is currently possible. You could submit a feature request for it in the feature requests board though.

I will try to explain better.

Template Default:
I have one department called "Comercial", all the visitors and users(clients) are able to submit questions.

Template Registered
I have three departments called "Domains"; "Shared Hosting" and "Dedicated Hosting", on this I want that only the users(clients) can have the possibility to view this departments and submit tickets.

I have noticed one thing, if I select the "Registered" template group on Department Details, the registerd users can't see the departments, they only see if I select the both templates, but if I make this the visitors will be able to see the departments and submit tickets.

I have uploaded the images of the users group.

As Craig suggested this is not possible at the moment. Irrelevant to the template group you have assigned the department to, the software will not display the department in the list if you have set it as "Private"

Seems like a misconfiguration issue. You will need someone to check your settings. You can contact Kayako support or anyone else familiar with the system.
