Re-Ordering article order - 07-03-2008, 02:10 PM

How do I re-order the list of articles that appears within one of my KB categories.

I have changed the 'Display Order' from 1 - 10 but this does not seem to work, am I doing something wrong or is this a bug.

Hosted version on the latest stable release.

Regards

Toby

Do you mean article order in regards to viewing in the Customer Support Center or through the Staff CP?

Ya, it seems to be a confusing setup. I wish that each category had it's own automatic index count and then each article listed under that section would be linked to that section.. oh well. This is what i do

All of my categories are assigned Display Order's in 100's and their sub categories in 20's
That way it kind of forces each category to be in it's own section.

So ..

Root Category = 100
Article = 101
Sub Cat = 120
Article = 121
Article = 122
Sub Cat = 140
Article = 141
Sub Cat = 160
Article = 161
Article = 162

If you have a large amount of knowledgebase articles you could even do this in sets of 1000, 100 and sequential for each article..

That seems to work for me

(also i keep a list on my desk so i know which category and sub category to use)
