Sorting tickets by User Group - 08-03-2006, 04:37 AM

Hello,

We use user groups and group templates quite a bit, but are having a little difficulty sorting the tickets properly so we understand what user group (ie. Company) is associated with each ticket.

Is there something simple we are missing to do this? (user group is not available in our ticket field views) Is there a way to easily sort tickets based on the user's user group?

We support multiple companies and having this ability is crucial.

Hi Chris,
I have added this to my TODO and will try to incorporate it in next CVS build, We tried to cover up as many fields as possible but it seems that we missed out on user groups.

Could you also provide sorting user names by user group as well? Basically, we would like user groups to be a part of every search/sort option.

I'd like to see this added as well, so we can tell quickly which companies (groups) tickets are from. Current (lame) workaround is to add the email address to ticket views & decipher it from there. Problem with that is, several of our clients have different divisions so the email domain can be quite different.

Features I need asap:
1) Ticket search in the client portal!
2) Column display in client portal showing clients email address or name
3) Downloads by client
(i.e. - each client has their own download area and can't see/touch downloads for any other client.) This would be on top of a "public" download area.
4) Integrated KB image uploads
The ability for staff to upload images with a KB articles.
