Alerts Alerts -> Alert to comment postings

We love the comment feature but are nervous about having them completely unmoderated.

We would therefore make all comments moderated but there appears to be no message on the dashboard or anywhere else that I can see to tell users that comments have been submitted.

With everything else being so highly customisable and updatable through the admin interface I cant believe that staff will have to manually check for comments in each area (i.e. News, Downloads, Knowledge base etc...)

Can someone put our minds at rest and show me how we can get some sort of notification on the control panel / by email.

Well currently there isn't a way to get notifications via email or show on the dashboard. Would be cool to see both included in V4 tho. Hopefully one of the mods will move it to the Feature Requests board so it gets considered.

Not sure if I am just thick, but how do you see which a KB article the comment is for before you approve it?

There is no easy way to tell - you can probably work it out if you dig around in the database though...

We use the authorise feature to make sure there is no swearing or spam on the system so its not too big an issue for us... - I agree with you it would be nice if there was at least the name of/link to the page that the comment is about...
