Custom fields -> Ability to duplicate others (i.e. entire groups and their fields) - 30-10-2007, 06:43 PM

When Managing a Custom Field, Group, or User, it would be nice to have the ability to Create a new one by Copying an existing one.

The functionality is already there when I create template groups.

This would be very helpful when I create massive drop-downs that I don't feel like redoing by hand because one minor field changed from one dept to the other.

Get it?

Same here. There is a trend within Kayako where you have to constantaly recreate things from scratch rather then copy a current one.

I don't consider it being lazy. Software is supposed to make your life easier and make tasks easier so everyone should always be looking for ways to optimize their software and make things easier for their clients. Being able to copy instead of recreating makes things faster and easier to setup.

I know you agree with me and were just joking around but I needed to say that for those that might not know.

Yup, totally agree in things making our lives easier. Spending less time fiddling about with things such as this and more time building our businesses is always a good thing.

The lazy part was a joke *winks*
