When the parser fails to correctly handle an email for some reason, it would be nice to be able to manually select the queue/department from the open parse log window to which the email should be assigned. It's a real pain trying to setup catch-all rules and standard rules in the often futile attempt to parse the mail. Particularly with envelope-to problems. What often ends up happening is that I have to send a mail to the client asking them to reply with the original content. This is unproffesional and messy as I can't give out admin/parser log access to staff members. And given that there is no method of receiving an alert when the parser fails then it's down to admins making sure to go in and check for failed messages. |
