UNKNOWN System -> Automatic login via link ability (option?)

Request a link be provided in the email notifications that when clicked, automatically logs in the user and takes them to the exact ticket.

This was a feature in v2.x that was removed from v3.x

It has been complained about for the last 2 years by many, and Varun has been saying for the last 2 years it will be included in the next build. We have had 10+ builds since then, and still no auto login feature.

I totally agree with this. All that needs to happen is have their email address / username as well as an MD5'ed version of their password in the URL and it would work fine.

This mod was provided by JC of softair. Take a look in the modification and add-on section and you'll see it. I did the mod and it works perfectly.

I have, it does not work for all versions and it should be a standard feature, not an add on.

Kind of like buying a car, then having it towed to goodyear for tires to be mounted, or to a locksmith to get keys.

I agree it should be a standard feature. Many people do not wish to use addons and would rather only use default functionality.

I totally agree...I am not looking forward to having to re-implement all those mods once the new stable build comes out. If it were built in, it would eliminate this need.

Alot of users using v2 complained when Kayako had added this feature. Hence to add an extra security measure Kayako implimented the login system. I suppose they can add an option in the Admin CP which allows Admin user to enable/disable direct login into the helpdesk by clicking on the link.
