Ticket list & Ticket view -> Show user's group (user group) - 11-07-2007, 06:45 PM

Hi,

It seems a little nutty that we can't add the field "User Group" to a ticket list view (from the Users » Edit User » User Group when you set up a user) when you go to Tickets » Edit View there is no choice for "User Group"

This would be a natural grouping in my view. Seems like it must have been an oversight to leave it out... (Yes I know you can create a filter to only see this clients tickets, but we don't operate that way, we need to be able to see all clients tickets and use their "User Group" as a way to sort the open tickets.)

Please consider for inclusion.

Features I need asap:
1) Ticket search in the client portal!
2) Column display in client portal showing clients email address or name
3) Downloads by client
(i.e. - each client has their own download area and can't see/touch downloads for any other client.) This would be on top of a "public" download area.
4) Integrated KB image uploads
The ability for staff to upload images with a KB articles.

Hi Jamie,

Any feedback on this one for me? Being able to view which "client" (group) a ticket is from is a key thing for us.

It would seem to be relatively easy to add. Any chance we can squeeze this one in in the near future?

Currently we are having to code our ticket subjects with a Prefix like so:
(Assuming the clients full company name is Acme Internet Software)

AIS: Ticket subject goes here as usual

Lame I know, but in lieu of being able to add the clients user group (company in our case) it's the best we can do. The major concern over doing this manually is it requires agents to remember to do it vs the system automatically taking care of it.

The developers are yet to look over the feature request boards for V4.

being able to see group (ie company name) is an obvious improvement...

100% Agree. Being able to see history on the entire company, not just that user would be super helpful too.
