When assigning departments to staff, resize the list box accordingly - 30-11-2007, 01:07 PM

In admin CP, when choosing one of the staff, there is an option:
"Assigned Departments
Specify individual department permissions if the group access option (above) is not enabled."
And the multiple select on the right, where i can choose one or several departments.

It would be great to make this select size equal to departments quantity. Because i have 35 departments, and the select size is only 5...

Ok, after a bit of digging :-
1. Open includes/functions_html.php
2. Find :-
Quote:
$size = 5
3. Replace 5 with whatever figure you want.

This needs to be made a setting really tho.

Rather than a setting, it should grab the number of depts from the db and automatically adjust it. A simple query and a foreach would do it.

You can select more than the 5 you see by clicking, holding, and dragging down, or using SHIFT+Click after moving the scroll bar down to other departments.

Yea, but with 35 departments, its not easy.

Yup, that would be a better idea.
