Personally I wouldn't have a use for it but I know a lot of people will. Icon Headquarters - Its Elixir - Web2Messenger |

Like Craig, I too would not use Live Support from the smart phone but we too get inquiries on if this would be possible. So I guess I would second, rather third this request. I did think about network lag when replying but you can get WLM fine on it so op live help shouldn't be a problem. Icon Headquarters - Its Elixir - Web2Messenger |

I think it will require more users piping up to get something like this built. Icon Headquarters - Its Elixir - Web2Messenger |

I am usually at my desktop which doesn't have livechat cause there isn't a mac version but when I am away would love to be able to use my cell phone for live chat but doubt they will make a iPhone version. ![]() Digital Mayhem, Inc. A web application that can be used on the iPhone might be likely, at some point (or maybe by a community member), but it wouldn't be sensible to make an iPhone native application - such a tiny amount of people use them. It would also be tricky to do this kind of thing on a mobile device; connections are intermittent and unstable on mobile devices - would you actually think it is usable once finding your chats drop if your signal goes down for a few seconds, and lose whoever you were chatting to? Of course it is possible to use some caching techniques to buffer the messages when out of connectivity, but this renders a whole new bunch of problems. Therefore, it is more sensible to look at some kind of web based interface for a mobile device for live chat, rather than feeding chat data between the device and the server directly - even then, you run into problems with JavaScript support... even on the iPhone. -------------------------------------------------------------------

I think AJAX is the way to go for this. Its only about time till Microsoft releases the new IE version for Windows Mobile which supports AJAX in true sense just like Safari (on iPhone). Regards, Varun Shoor -------------------------------------------------------------------
