Silent synchronisation

It's unbelievably annoying every 10-15 minutes to have the SyncWorks dialog appear (and still steal focus, which I believe was "fixed" in a HotFix build).


Can we please get a silent sync feature where it's all done in the background?

If there is an error in the synchronisation the Outlook toolbar (or system tray if possible?) should show some sort of notification but shouldn't annoy me that the synchronisation failed. (similar to how Outlook deals with failed send/receive tasks)

My main issues with SyncWorks is the focus stealing and the fact that I have a laptop which I use "out in the field" a fair bit where there is no network connectivity or it'll drop out often. It's annoying to keep seeing the synchronisation dialog when obviously it cannot be performed without an active network connection!

To me, an option to hide the sync window is a feature which could be easily written in 10 minutes or less and something I'd very much love to see.
