Exclamation Emails Being Sent to Kayako Support - 21-07-2007, 02:41 PM

Hi

I cannot figure out what it is, but every time someone sends a email to our support email a ticket gets piped to it, but it seems as if it is also sending it to Kayako because we get a ticket stating:

####### YOUR TICKET HAS NOT BEEN RECEIVED #######

Due to the recent increase in spam and abuse of our tech support we have stopped accepting all new ticket requests via email. It is recommended that you visit our helpdesk at http://support.kayako.net/ and click on Submit a Ticket option to send in your request.

Please remember that you will receive no further reply to the email you just sent in.

Regards,

The Kayako Team

What I think happened is I was having some email troubles and I think Kayako put their email in somewhere so that they could test it out. However I have checked my forwarder, email queues, etc and cannot find the support ( at ) kayako listed anywhere! It has to be somewhere in the code. Any help on this would be appreciated. This is quite annoying and I know it would annoy Kayako too if they didn't stop all emails via email.

Jamie:

This may sound funny, but I was not able to figure this out for about 3 to 4 months, but as soon as I posted here it hit me: Support Must of add themselves.

One place that I did not check was staff. That is what happened. Kayako added themselves as a Staff to test something out and I had a public ticket alert....this is what was causing the email to go to Kayako.

thanks again for the quick reply.

Was going to say. Seamed like a very weird thing to happen. Glad to hear you got it sorted.
