Exclamation HTTP Error 417 - 19-09-2008, 09:22 AM

Hello All,

We have just installed LiveResponse and have installed the Client Application on a few pc's with success (with exception of my own).

When the client attempts to connect it fails returning the following as an example ....

Would anyone have any suggestions to resolve ???

Has me stumped.

It appears to be related to your proxy server. See HTTP Status 417: Expectation Failed : Developer Documentation and Help System : Visual Studio : MSDN Forums

Dang, ISP related then as I don't use a proxy directly.

Yes, could be a transparent proxy. More common with ISPs providing net access via the mobile networks, though although I have seen some fixed line providers doing it.

Thanks for the info Craig.
THe ISP is willing to assist further, but requires more information than what is currently being logged.

So would I need to make a change to the 'php.ini' file ???

I would of thought the HTTP error number would of been enough to go on. They just need make it so your domain never gets a cached version served up to you.
