Spell Check Error - 13-11-2008, 08:07 PM

I have install aspell on my servers and it works great, until the spell check window closes. Then I get this error:

The instruction "0x42fc2b02" referenced memory at "0x4368cfc". The memory could not be "read". Click on OK to terminate the program.

This error seems to be coming from IE V 7.0.5730.13

If IE is already running (I usually use FF) this error does not occur.

That is an IE defect. It is probable that you have an extension or plug-in which is malfunctioning. Viruses and spyware can also cause problems like that, though it's much less common. I would advise you start by making sure your IE instance is up to date, then by temporarily disabling all your plugins to see if the problem goes away.

Is this a repeatable defect? This happens each and every time you close a spellchecking window?

IE memory error - 13-11-2008, 08:27 PM

It is a repeatable defect with IE. It only happens if IE is not already running and only in the winapp, not using the staff cp. Thanks for the swift reply, the issue is not of major importance, most of the staff will be using the staff cp to update tickets. If there comes a fix just let us know. Is it possibly because IE is getting closed by the winapp before its ready?
