| New Member Posts: 14 Join Date: Aug 2005 Location: Beijing | I wanted to take a moment to share with everyone a recent customization we did with Air Soft. Our objective was to FULLY and completely integrate Support Suite into our PearlsOnly.com web site - to ensure a seamless experience for our customers. We had tried the inline include method, however that proved to be a clunky solution - the frame would be either to long or too short - the links would not refer properly, and inline includes don't get crawled by the spiders. Based on this, we have decided to customize support Suite to make it look like our main web site. The results are amazing, and you cannot tell our primary site apart from support suite - you simply cannot tell that it is two different subsystems. And that is exactly what our goal was. http://www.pearlsonly.com/customercare/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=view&parentcategoryi d=0 The effort was quite significant since Support Suite uses Smarty Light and does not allow for includes or captures, making this customization additionally labor intensive and unnecessarily difficult. My comment for Kayako would be to enable and/or include smarty captures and includes in their version of Smarty to allow such customizations to be easier. Despite the Support Suite limitations, Juan and his team were able to work around the challenges. We are delighted with what these guys did and how they were able to turn Support Suite from 'supportsuite' look and feel into our own skin look and feel. The guys are 100% professional - with good communication and work ethic. They are available on IM nearly round the clock and are very responsive. You always know where the project is at - which is quite rare for outsourced projects and certainly a refreshing change. If you are thinking of anything similar would certainly recommend these folks.
