Thumbs down Please Read Before Doing Business With Softair!!!!! - 21-11-2005, 06:37 PM

Hi Everyone,

In October I contacted Soft Air Ltda to do a Support Center for us because we could not do it ourselves because of current projects, I saw that they did really good work so we did not mind outsourcing the job to them, which was $300.00 and $100.00 up front. They made us send payment to a US PO Box address which seemed like they were requiring us to pay directly to their Credit Card Company. We sent the payment and it got there in 3 days! Juan said he started the project immediately and I said ok. A few days later (6 days) he asks me if I can draw a sketch of what I wanted, so I said fine, but how could he have started if he asking me to draw him a sketch, etc. He ended up requesting to refund my money and I said ok. Well 2 or so week later I still have not received the refund and when I contacted him about it he keeps giving me the run around about it was sent, has to wait for authorization, etc. I said ok I can wait but just show me proof it was sent. Then we pretty much got into an argument.

The reason I am posting this thread is because I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY REFUND, just argument for almost an hour. I just want my refund. This post is not meant to downplay the level of work by SoftAirLTDA, as they do really good design work. I think they are doing this because I also offer design services, whatever the case, I just want the refund or proof it was sent. Again it is your choice to do business with them and I am not downplaying their level of work.

Now watch how quickly we get all this information after this post.

Clarification of issue by Soft Air - 21-11-2005, 08:54 PM

Hello ibGuru and all forum visitors:

LaTesha Borroughs contacted us to perform a Customation at www.orderguru.com
but since she wanted to offer customation services, she also wanted us not to disclose her project or let anybody know that it was done by Soft Air.

In short, ibGuru wanted Soft Air to customize her own web site where she will offer customation services, she also offer us to perform customations for her clients and Soft Air wouldn't be able to show this jobs in our portfolio or contact the clients at all, she wanted to sell our product and act as a comissionist while keeping us in the blind.

Soft Air decided to refund her $100 dollars so our company wouldn't need to perform this job. We aksed our NCY bank (Citibank) to issue and send her a check two weeks ago, Miss Borroughs contacted us and adviced that the check did not arrived yet, we contacted Citibank inmediately and they told us that this procedure takes 1 to 2.5 weeks to complete so they are still within the time frame to deliver her refund.

Miss Borroughs receive the above explanation and she also wanted screen shots and evidence of the sent check, we called Citibank and they said they will issue a letter from our NYC branch office to show evidence of the submitted and still check (still on the way to her address)

Miss Borroughs did not find this explanation sufficient and we then proceed to issue here a Virtual Card number so he can charge us the $100 dollars and discard the Citibank check when it gets to her address, we issued the Virtual Card number, we submitted the additional information that she needed to charge us and she still insist on issuing a post with some sort of Warning.

The bottom line is that Soft Air choosed not to perform the job for ibGuru since she wanted to make money as a commisionist of our product and we dont think we need that at this time. The $100 dollars were sent by Citibank 2 weeks ago but it seems her company cannot wait any longer to get the money, we issue a Virtual Card number to her and we hope she charge it and discard the check when it gets to her address.

Hey all,
I would just like to mention that I have never had any problems with JC and his crew. They have been extreemly lenient (as it has taken a while for me to get my payment together), and they have still done all my additional customisations for me.

I would still have no worries in recommending them to anyone here. If need be please contact me on support @@@ dolphinwebs.net

Thanks Nerdzoll, yes we were surprised that this client wanted to resell our products without even letting us know and that is way we declined the contract. Since her company cannot wait 2 to 3 weeks to get a refund from Citibank, we have issued her a card for $103.50 (she says she needs not $100 but $103.50) let's hope she log in again and confirms the transaction, the check will get to her address soon and she will need to get rid of it.

Forr all existing and prospective customers: Soft Air will continue to adhere to accurate refund policies, if the customer wants to be refunded and he/she cannot wait the usual 2 to 3 weeks we have agreed with our US bank to complete this procedure we will issue a virtual card to expedite, no need to post warnings, there is nothing to be afraid when dealing with Soft Air, this is true for the technical and money fronts

I am not trying to bad mouth anything, read the conversation for yourself. After having to go through Varun in order to get my Payment I finally got my REFUND. Thanks. Ask Varun for yourself.

Thanks for posting ichnameist, we have completed the refund to this client, the whole issue here is that 2 to 3 weeks that Citibank takes to issue a check to her was too long for her company so we opted for another way of refunding her.

The refund was never asked by her, Soft Air opted not to execute the project since we couldn't adhere to her marketing practices:

"Dear Juan C Rodriguez,

This email confirms that you have paid orderGURU $103.50 USD using PayPal.
This credit card transaction will appear on your bill as "PAYPAL *ORDERGURU"

Also that money was not for commission of our products that money was for them to design our companies support center as we did not have time to do it ourselves in the amount of $300.00, with $100.00 up front. I have the agreement for proof if anybody would like me to forward it

Like I said, I receive Payment after having to go through VARUN for it. You did not want to give it to me. I never said I would not wait 3 weeks, I said to show proof it was sent!

Hello Miss Borroughs, the check will arrive from Citibank NYC, we have no control on how long does it takes them to deliver the check to US Postal service and since you couldn't wait 2 to 3 weeks to get we have issue a credit card payment. Again Miss Borroughs Soft Air will not perform customations for anybody but our own clients.

Also we are not a competitor, we take on Kayako Jobs as extra work, not to compete. This is not our main line of business. If anyone wants review from our past clients please ask and I can refer you directly. From web design to custom programming.
